Zendaya is now considered the new queen of Disney channel  – making it clear just how well liked she is after winning favourite female TV star for her role in K.C. Undercover at the Kid’s Choice Awards.  Although, a lot of people still wonder why she did not branch out of Disney after her hit show “Shake it Up” ended like her co-star Bella Thorne and other past Disney actors after their show ends; especially when they have gained such a huge fan base and are not teens anymore. 

In an interview with Ellen DeGeneres, she responds, “To me, it’s because I still have a responsibility as this young person that I am to create positive programming for these young people. I have little kids that look up to me and I think of that as a responsibility and I know there’s so many parents that come up to me just hearing them say thank you for being that for my daughter or for my son. Being that inspiration for them that – that’s everything to me.”

Along the interview, they talked about her parents and how how she is able to stay grounded through fame. “Well you know what I got to give it out to my parents. I’m really lucky to have the parents that I have and you know they just always have instilled in me these core values that I think I have carried with me through everything“,  Zendaya said.

Very well said Z! It is nice to see young celebrities feel the need to take responsibility to act as young role models for their younger fans! Oh, and FYI, Zendaya will be starring in the new Spiderman movie that is coming out in the summer of 2017 (we’ll keep you updated)!
