Florence Pugh is an actress that’s going to take Hollywood by storm. First gaining recognition for her role as Dani in Midsommer, then as Amy in Little Women, helping her earn her first Oscar nomination for Best Supporting Actor and now gaining momentum for her role as Yelena in Black Widow. Here are 20 facts you may not know about the future Hollywood staple:

1. She’s originally from Oxford, England in 1996 making her 25 years old. Florence may put on a great American accent for her roles, but she’s actually from the UK.

2. She has three siblings. She has two older ones Tony Sebastian and sister Arabella and a younger one Rafaela. They’re all actors. Talk about a talented family!

3. She’s dating 46-year-old actor Zach Braff. Their relationship made headlines for their unusual age gap. Florence defended it by saying the hate she gets is because it’s not what people expected of her from what they see on screen.

4. She spends her time in England and in LA. Being British and working in Hollywood wear her boyfriend also resides is a bit difficult but she makes it work by travelling back and forth. We bet she has a lot of Air Miles points saved up!

5. If she can pick any co-star to work with, it would be Emma Stone.

6. She is friends with Jennifer Lawrence. In an interview with Jimmy Kimmel, Florence talks about hitting up the dance floor with The Hunger Games star at an event. They’re both outspoken and hilarious women so we can see them getting along.

7. She can sing. Florence actually started out singing covers on YouTube under the name “Flossie Rose” before she switched to being an actress. She’s actually working with her brother Tony on a single.

8. She’s short. By Hollywood standards, she is not the most vertically blessed standing at 1.62 meters or 5’3.

9. Florence had severe asthma as a kid. Her family moved all the way to Spain in hopes that the warmer climate would help her get better. She told the Guardian, “even though we moved out there for other reasons, looking back on it, I’m so happy I had that childhood—in and out of the sea naked, cycling down the road in my knickers, and bartering with the sweet shop owner.”

10. Her favourite red carpet look is the one she wore to the Oscar!

11. She always imagined herself playing Amy in Little Women. There may be a reason Florence was so good at playing the character that helped earn her an Oscar – it’s because she always imagined herself as that character when her grandmother read it to her as a kid.

12. She carries Yorkshire tea everywhere she goes. She says she has a travel size bag full of Yorkshire tea bags. A true Brit indeed!

13. She loves her Granny Pat! “My gran is so cool…she is like 84, she’s really fit and healthy, she goes hiking all the time!” Florence speaks of her grandmother.

14. She has a cute dog. Florence often shares pictures of her furry friend on Instagram.

15. Her go-to karaoke song is “My Heart Will Go On.” A true 90s kid.

16. Emma Thompson is one of her mentors. Florence mentions that she would give her a lot of wisdom about the industry and would share book and podcast suggestions!
