Hit Disney show ‘Wizards of Waverly Place’ MAY just be coming back! Fans of the series about a family of wizards living in New York City while simultaneously running a subway shop have been wanting for a reboot since 2012 when it ended.
Although we got a Wizards special ‘Alex Vs. Alex’ in 2013, the cast has been silent about any news for nearly a decade but have all said they would be willing to participate for any type of reunion project.
However, this wish could possibly be fulfilled as David Deluise, who played dad Jerry Russo, replied to this tweet of Selena saying “P.s. Wizards is not over. We’ll be back :)” referring to a renewal of the third season of the show back in 2010, with two simple emojis.
Just these two emojis were enough to get fans excited as they responded:
Will there actually be a reunion of some sort now that we’re almost 10 years past the finale episode or is David just teasing? It is possible given that Lizzie McGuire nearly had a reboot but was unfortunately cancelled by Disney at the last minute. Guess we’ll have to wait and find out but we’ll keep you posted!
