From family subway business to…movie executives?
It turns out when Selena and David posted this Instagram teaser of the two together, it wasn’t because there is going to be a WOWP reunion like fans had hoped, but not all hope is lost because the iconic TV siblings are still going to be working on a movie together. Check out the poster below:
The movie is called This is the Year and David is the director while Selena is the executive producer. We are proud of both of them as David wanted to be a director for a very long time (he even skipped out on final long hour special The Wizards Return: Alex vs Alex because he wanted to take directing seriously) and if it is anything like Selena’s previous executive production work, this will for sure be a great turnout!
The cast also has some notable Disney Channel connections such as Lorenzo Henrie who is David’s brother, Vanessa Marano who is Laura Marano (starred in Disney’s Austin and Ally)’s sister, Jake Short who was on Disney’s Ant Farm, Bug Hall who was on Disney’s Honey, Alyssa Jirrels who had reoccurring appearances on Girl Meets World, Gregg Sulkin who played Alex’s werewolf boyfriend on WOWP, and Jeff Garlin who played Alex and Justin’s uncle Kelbo on WOWP! This movie should just be called Disney Alumni Connections instead! Are you excited for the movie?
