The beginning of Season 29 of Dancing with the Stars was met by the surprise of not just a new set of contestants – but a new host as well. After 15 years and a good 28 seasons of almost every Monday night hosting the dancing competition, executives decided to replace Tom Burgeon (and secondary host Erin Andrews) with model Tyra Banks.

Although some were willing to give Tyra a chance in the beginning, many have furiously vocalized wanting her to be replaced as she has not had the most smooth sailing in her first season with constant stumbling over words, awkward questions, and wacky outfits. So, we gathered a list of 5 hosts we think would be a good replacement to Tyra:

1. Tom Burgeon

This one is pretty obvious but it seems just about everyone would want Tom back! He’s been a staple to DWTS all these years and we definitely would want his commentary if they are potentially having a 30th season with all-stars coming back. Only Tom would have the spot-on inside jokes with past season contestants. Come on, DWTS!

2. Mario Lopez

It is common for hosts to be previous contestants of the show. Not many are aware but secondary hosts Brooke Burke and Erin Andrews, both competed on past seasons and made it far! It only makes sense for the new host to understand how the show runs and to have some dance experience as well. This would fit the description well with Mario Lopez who placed runner-up on Season 3 and has been hosting for years. Plus, he would be familiar with the stars having interviewed numerous celebrities for Extra TV.

3. Alfonso Ribeiro

Another past contestant who would be great for the role would be Season 19’s champion, Alfonso! He is well-loved by audiences of all age groups and it would not be his first time taking over one of Tom’s gigs. Alfonso is currently hosting America’s Funniest Home Videos which is another show Tom hosted for 15 seasons prior before stepping down to fully just being on DWTS. If Tom doesn’t come back and fans want Tyra replaced, Alfonso has a good shot of potentially taking over both of Tom’s gigs as a host at DWTS too.

4. Conan O’Brien

This one is a bit of a wild card but just think of how hilarious and witty he would be! His nightly talk show of 10 years recently got cancelled so the he would need a new job….If he doesn’t become host, Conan should at least be a contestant!…

5. Anyone hosts on ABC (e.g. Robin Roberts, George Stephanopoulos, Michael Strahan +)

All the hosts on ABC would be great for DWTS because the network does a good job of hiring people who have a warm and friendly atmosphere to them. Plus, they already have experience talking to numerous contestants over the years on ABC’s The Morning Show as that’s where they contestant appear after they get eliminated.

Who do you think would be the right fit?
