It’s Disney week on Dancing With the Stars with many twists and turns. There are two dances this week (one hero themed and one villain), a Mickey Mouse challenge, and a double elimination. Here is our ranking of all the dances performed this week:
1. Jimmie Allen (villain)
How often is it that you see Captain Hook and Tinker Bell face off in a dance battle? Never! The opening dance to Villain’s night could not be topped! This routine also gave Jimmie Allen noticeable attention as a potential front-runner.
2. The Miz (hero)
Never underestimate the power of this genie – The Miz stayed fully committed to the character by allowing himself to be dyed blue! He surprises audiences week by week by his charisma on stage.
3. Amanda Kloots ( villain)
Amanda’s best dance for sure. From the costumes, set, and intensity of the Paso Doble, this was definitely fun to watch! At one point, it even looked like she was leading Alan in the dance!
4. Jimmie Allen (hero)
Despite the judges’ low scores, the choreography was great – hence them making up the points with the Mickey Mouse challenge.
5. Olivia Jade (villain)
Val’s choreography is always impeccable. He made this Jazz routine full of playfulness despite the villainous theme.
6. The Miz (villain)
So scary but so good! The Miz’s intensity along with Witney’s choreography made this dance so interesting to watch!
7. Jojo Siwa (hero)
Jojo looks stunning as the Prince and Jenna’s costume is one of the most elegant pieces on the show. They danced incredibly in this modern version of Cinderella.
8. Cody Rigsby (hero)
Cody was sure in a silly goofy mood in this routine as Goofy. He brought out the pizzazz that makes him so entertaining to watch!
9. Olivia Jade (hero)
The routine was full of packed choreography and Olivia Jade delivered!
10. Cody Rigsby (villain)
Cody Rigsby is always a fun performer to watch – especially in this routine where he played the villainous Gaston.
11. Iman Shumpert (villain)
Even if Iman lacks technique, Danielle knows how to make up for it with her stellar choreography. This was full of intensity which is perfect for Iman’s role as Jafaar.
12. Mel C (hero)
How cute was this jazz routine from Sporty Spice? There were some synchronization issues but it was overall really up beat and fun to watch!
13. Suni Lee (villain)
This Olympic gold medalist never disappoints – not to mention her hold – so elegant and graceful!
14. Melora Hardin (villain)
Rarely does Len give out tens but he loved this dance so much he gave Melora the first 10 of the season, putting her in frontrunner position. It was quirky and danced well, what’s not to love?
15. Matt James (hero)
Matt James getting so into character was adorable to watch!
16. Kenya Moore (villain)
She may have portrayed a wicked character but this real housewife got a redemption arc for the second night in a row
17. Iman Shumpert (hero)
Elegance and grace – that’s what Iman brought in this routine to “Let It Go”. We can’t let go of this spectacular dance!
18. Brian Austin Green (villain)
We’ve seen countless Jack Sparrow dances over the years but rarely do we see a battle between two pirates. He did a much better dance than last week but still, this villain didn’t get his happy ending. Turns out, you can’t rely on romance alone to get you through.
19. Jojo Siwa (villain)
Leave it to Jojo and Jenna to bring it on the dance floor. Although performed well, it wasn’t as intricate or fun to watch as her past routines.
20. Mel C (villain)
This was a wonderful dance and choreography but lacked the pizzazz other routines had.
21. Suni Lee (hero)
With Suni, you can always expect a flip or two. While it was fun to watch, it didn’t feel like she was dancing at her maximum potential.
22. Kenya Moore (hero)
Kenya is an underdog in the competition. Although not exactly a fan favourite, she gets saved and will continue to be saved if she keeps up her great dance moves.
23. Brian Austin Green (hero)
The dance at the beginning was picture perfect but his lack of moves still does not make up for the chemistry between these two.
24. Melora Hardin (hero)
If there’s one thing Melora Hardin knows how to do – it’s the quick step. Despite it being technically executed well, it wasn’t the most entertaining to watch.
25. Amanda Kloots (hero)
The dance was graceful but a little off in the dancing. Plus, with Disney night – everyone is bringing their A game and their routine seem a little tame in comparison.
26. Matt James (villain)
Unfortunately, this villainous dance did not play into the judges’ favour. Not only did he receive low scores but also was shockingly eliminated.
