<p><strong>Laurie&#8217;s confession to Amy</strong>. Although subtle hints were dropped, Laurie makes it clear that she wants Amy to be his wife. Amy gets frustrated because she doesn&#8217;t want to be second place to Jo. This unexpectedly delightful turn of events truly shows how much the two characters have grown. </p>

<p><strong>Amy&#8217;s speech on marriage being an economic proposition to women. </strong>Amy aspires to be an artist but says it would be no use because as a woman, she would never make enough to support herself and rather marries rich as that is the best possible route. This scene truly shows off Amy&#8217;s maturity and the mindset of women in the 1800s through Florence Pugh&#8217;s impeccable acting skills. </p>

<p><strong>Jo and Laurie dancing</strong>. In this scene where Jo stumbles upon Laurie by himself, they find common ground in not wanting to dance in the ballroom. Instead, they playfully dance awkwardly outside making it a joyful scene to watch. </p>

<p><strong>Jo&#8217;s monologue depicting feminism. </strong>Here, Jo tells her mom she doesn&#8217;t want to only be fit for a housewife role while fighting the urge to settle is a perfect expression of the dilemma many women feel. It is by far the most relatable moment in the movie and Saoirse Ronan&#8217;s delivery is spot on! </p>

<p><strong>Laurie&#8217;s rejected proposal</strong>. In the climax point of the movie &#8211; the point that separates the past from present is Laurie confessing his love for Jo who sees him merely just as a friend. We can&#8217;t help but feel bad for Laurie and wondrous of the change in their relationship dynamics thereafter. This is the most intriguing scene in the movie. </p>
