1. Prada Sign – the entrance to the Van Der Woodsen household has an iconic Prada sign with an arrow pointing towards the household, perhaps signifying that luxury is in that direction. You can actually purchase the sign on Etsy.
2. Paintings – Paintings are essential to the life of an Upper-East Sider. They also fill the space so you’d barely see any empty walls.
3. Low-level couches – Having shorter couches and furniture make the ceiling look higher which expands the space.
4. Lamps everywhere – The rich seem to dislike traditional ceiling lights and prefer lamps all over their house instead. It seems more inconvenient but who knows, dim lighting does create a more intimate setting.
5. Pool Table – This is more garnered towards bachelors like Chuck Bass who loves to play a game with friends and most of the time, just with himself.
