After Taylor shockingly released Folklore out of the blue, fans have been listening to her album non-stop. One of the songs that get the most questions is track 14 titled Betty.

Taylor went on country radio to explain that Betty is written in the perspective of a 17 year old boy named James who had an affair all while dating his classmate Betty. James regrets having this affair even though the relationship is over, has major regrets about hurting someone he loved saying it was “the worst thing I ever did was what I did to you.”

Taylor also confirmed the rumour that the song features all three of her friends Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds’ kids – James and Inez who were also named in the song, which means their third child, whose name the couple hasn’t announced, is called Betty. Can you imagine your name being written in a Taylor Swift song and not even knowing who Taylor Swift is? We are so jealous! This isn’t the first time Taylor featured Blake and Ryan’s kids, James was featured saying “Gorgeous” at the beginning of Gorgeous in her reputation album. Taylor must have a special place for Blake’s kids!
