Taylor Swift’s 4th studio album is most definitely one of fan’s favourites. It’s her transitional album from country to pop. So in her re-recordings known as Red (Taylor’s Version), she decided to added 12 new songs making the total track list to 28. From heartbreak melodies to songs about new beginnings, here is how they rank:

28. Sad Beautiful Tragic – Sad songs and slow melodies can be a bore

27. Ronan – Although it’s a beautiful song about a young child fighting a disease, the song itself is hard to listen to as it’s very slow and sad

26. Nothing New – Although the message of female celebrities having not a very long-lasting career in the industry is intriguing, the melody is nothing more than a few strums of strings. The lyrics are fantastic though.

25. Run – While Taylor and Ed duets are always great to listen to, this song doesn’t bring novelty to her album or rather fits in with the pop theme of RED very well.

24. I Bet You Think About Me – Taylor’s sassy tune and famous line, “Oh my God, she’s insane, she wrote a song about me” is hilarious, the country sound is nothing we haven’t heard from Taylor’s first three country albums.

23. Girl At Home – The lyrics can be a bit repetitive but at times, it’s quite catchy

22. Treacherous – The song may be called treacherous but it’s sung very innocently with a sweet tune.

21. Better Man – The song is about knowing you’re better off without him but wishing he was a better person to you. It brings a sense of nostalgia.

20. Everything Has Changed – Taylor and Ed’s vocals create a tune you just can’t turn away from. It signifies a new beginning which is a refreshing take from the stack of heartbreak songs on the album.

19. Forever Winter – Taylor shares a sweet song about trying to help someone out of a hard time. It’s very relatable, especially as we are coming out a Pandemic.

18. Holy Ground – it’s not as emotive as the other songs but still a jam.

17. The Very First Night – a refreshing take about the joys of young love.

16. Come Back…Be Here – Taylor sings about the regrets she has of letting go of a relationship which is all-too-relatable.

15. 22 – this song became the national anthem for all 22-year-old Swifties out there and what’s not to love? It’s catchy, fun, and captures all the emotions of being in your early 20s.

14. We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together – Taylor writes THE breakup anthem of her career.

13. Message In A Bottle – This new vault is super catchy and upbeat! It has us wondering why it was ever cut from the original tracklist in the first place.

12. All Too Well – Even though this song didn’t become a single, it became a staple in fan favourites. With the encouragement of it’s popularity, Taylor had the confidence to release the full 10-minute version.

11. Babe – This catchy unreleased song should have been a single on its own.

10. Begin Again – Taylor shares a lovely message about beginning a new love story with someone who makes you forget about your past. It brings the feeling of hope and has you feeling grateful for past heartbreaks.

9. The Moment I Knew – Taylor sings her heart out when she belts out the moment she knew a relationship was over. Her most heart-wrenching songs are usually her best ones.

8. Stay Stay Stay – it’s sweet, catchy, and captures the excitement of romance

7. I Almost Do – This relatable song feels very nostalgic and comforting in a way. Even Taylor herself says it’s one of her most underrated songs.

6. State of Grace – the peaceful melody puts you at, like the title says, a “state of grace.”

5. Starlight – This album may be full of breakup songs, but the contrasting romantic ones are super sweet to listen to.

4. I Knew You Were Trouble – Taylor describes the excitement but frustration of seeing a guy who you know is no good for you. The temple makes the song super catchy.

3. Red – Taylor metaphorically compares romance to one colour and after hearing her explanation in the song, we must agree!

2. The Lucky One – Taylor describes what it’s like for everyone to think fame and fortune means you have it all without realizing that it comes with severe downfalls too.

1. All Too Well (10 Minute Version) – the song describes the fiery passionate love story she experienced in her early 20s. You can feel the angst and strong emotions from this heartbreaking tale.
