Two of the best top-charting artists right now, The Weeknd and Ariana Grande, collaborated yet again on a remix version of The Weeknd’s single ‘Save Your Tears.’ Check it out:
In the video, both singers are shown in cartoon form as The Weeknd, the one controlling the machines in a factory, builds Ariana Grande from body parts, and packages her up.
While some fans are confused as to what the meaning of the video is, others like to think that this takes place in the same universe as Ariana’s ‘R.E.M’ fragrance commercial and 34+35 remix where she cartooned herself as well.
They also noticed that Ariana is singing at a much lower register which has never really been heard before as her songs are usually full of fluffy high notes.
Some fans have speculated in the past that the actual meaning of the original ‘Save Your Tears’ is about his falling out with ex Bella Hadid.
Ariana and The Weeknd had previously collaborated on Ariana’s single “Love Me Harder” way back in 2014 when the two were relatively new artists. It’s amazing to see how far both of them have come!
What do you think of the duo’s collar?
