Bieber recently released music video for “Holy” featuring Chance the Rapper. In the video, he is seen working at an oil field but was let go of the job and cannot support his family.
Bieber says the video was inspired by the lost people have incurred during this time. He says, “Colin [the director] and I, both of our hearts behind wanting to make this video, both from the fact that we know that there’s a lot going on in the world right now. A lot of pain, a lot of heartache, a lot of frustration, a lot of people losing jobs,”
Later in the video, an army man offers to let him stay at his house. Bieber further explains that, “It basically shows how an act of compassion can really change the trajectory of someone’s life or day. And just having empathy for people.” He adds, “that’s our goal with this project, is just to inspire, to bring hope in this kind of uncertain, fragile time.”
