Carly and Evan are sadly divorcing each other after being married for 3.5 years. The couple met on the third season of Bachelor in Paradise and have two children together. Now, Carly is finally addressing what happened.

In an Instagram post posted on Christmas, she wrote: “Merry Christmas 🎄 Christmas Day isn’t what I had excepted this year. The three of us. The new normal. Which feels incredibly abnormal, and actually very sad. A lot of you kind people have asked if I’m ok. And I want to say I am, but I’m not. I will be though. Today is the first day that both kids are staying at Evan’s house overnight. I feel like I’m missing a piece of my soul. I’m literally just sitting by myself writing this. But I’m thankful that it was a white Christmas, and I’m thankful the kids all get to be having a blast with their dad and brothers. They are feeling so loved.
Thank you for checking on me. Love all of you.”

Evan has not posted about the divorce yet.

Although there were rumours brought on from Evan’s ex-wife who went on Reality Steve to say that Carly was the one who left him in February 2019 when she was still pregnant with her youngest, Charlie, Carly says in a YouTube video that that is not true.

She says that the day after Thanksgiving of 2020, it was Evan who sat her down and says he wanted to split. Carly explains that they were having problems for the past 2 years and even went to couples therapy.

In November 2020, they were looking at various houses but Evan tells her that they should buy the one she is in living right now but ended up not living in it at all a month after moving in. She also said that she was in it for the long haul and that she told him if they were ever to split, it would be him that makes the decision because she was in it for the long haul and concluded that there is nothing she could do if someone doesn’t want to be with you.

She then proceeded to sage the room which she calls “the divorce room” because it was where he told her he wanted to leave. You can check out the video here:

On Christmas day, she made a tearful YouTube video where she films her situation saying that Evan picked up the kids, and her parents left, so she is alone on the holiday feeling alone and it “feels awful.”

We hope the new year brings Carly more joy!
