Unless you’ve been living under a rock, you probably heard the name Olivia Rodrigo some time this week due to her single “Drivers Licence” debuting this week and the drama it stirred. Here are some facts about the High School Musical: The Musical star:

1. Her birthday: she is born February 20, 2003 which makes her 17 years old and is a Pisces!

2. She is Filipino-American. Her grandpa immigrated to America from the Philippines and her dad was brought up in a traditional Filipino household.

7. It is rumoured that Joshua Bassett helped Olivia get her drivers licence. One of the strong evidence for this rumour is that Joshua apparently taught Olivia how to drive.

13. She is an activist. Aside from being an institute speaker and panelist for the Geena Davis Institute on Gender in Media, she demonstrates that she is socially aware when she often reposts her stan on LGBT injustice, Black Lives Matter, and speaks up fro diversity.

14. She is being called the next pop idol. After hearing ‘Drivers Liscence”, many have suspected she will have a singing career as great as Ariana Grande and Billie Ellish.
