Out with Dalgona Coffee, there’s a new quarantine treat in town and it is perfect for the holidays! TikTok and Instagram users have been seen posting about this cool new recipe that is simple and easy to make – DIY hot chocolate bombs!
Hot chocolate or cocoa bombs are exactly what they sound like. They comprise of cocoa powder on the inside mixed with marshmallows and surrounded by a round chocolate mold. That way, when it is mixed with milk, the chocolate fizzles and you’ll have a hot chocolate drink! It is also a great gift for your loved ones. Check out this demonstration:

Circular Molds
Hot Chocolate Mix
Marshmallows
Instructions:
1. Melt the Chocolate
Your chocolate can be any type you want as long as it is smooth and creamy looking. You can achieve this by heating the hard chocolate you have in a microwave or by the stove. Stir the chocolate until it is even.
2. Mold and Freeze.
Fill the circular molds with the melted chocolate. Then place it in the freezer for 5-10 minutes for it to harden.
3. Fill with ingredients.
Put 1 tablespoon of hot chocolate mix into half the molds and as many marshmallows or extra ingredients you want with your drink.
4. Melt the edges.
Carefully place the other half of the molds on top of the filled molds and microwave for a couple of seconds so the edges will stick to each other, forming a full circular bomb.
5. Decorate.
You can add extra details by drizzling a different colour chocolate, add pieces of crushed candy cane, or small pieces of cookies.
