The third single from Selena’s “Rare” album is out now! “Boyfriend” was released yesterday with two other songs from her ‘Rare” deluxe album. Watch the video below:
The music video features Selena grabbing a magic potion while going around on dates with three guys who can potentially be her boyfriend. She then uses the potion to turn them into frogs! We didn’t expect that!
What initially inspired the song was actually through a text message. Gomez said that when she was almost done with the album she texted her co-writer Julia Michaels who also wrote “Good for You” and “Hands to Myself”. She texted “Well, it’s like I feel like I’ve covered everything on the album. I was like, I don’t know. Life’s good. I want a boyfriend. That’s about it.’ And she’s like, ‘LOL, whatever. And I come in the studio and that’s literally the title.'” So cool!
