The day Bachelor nation has been waiting for a LONG time is finally here! Season 11’s Kaitlyn Bristowe is finally engaged to boyfriend Jason Tartick! The two made it official today on their Instagram pages. Check out the cute photos they posted:
The pair have been dating for more than 2 years since January 2019. They had engagement rumours swirling around them since the beginning of their relationship given how fast-paced Bachelor nation is and that day is finally here!
At the start of their relationship, Kaitlyn was faced with a lot of backlash given how fast she moved on post-break up from a 3-year relationship with Bachelorette winner Shawn Booth. It was later revealed that Shawn was the one who ended their relationship but the two were having issues beforehand.
Meanwhile, Jason had come off his season of The Bachelorette where Becca Krufin was the lead. He was let go just moments before their Fantasy Suite date, landing in 3rd place.
The two first met on an episode of Kaitlyn’s Off the Vine podcast where Jason was a guest. There was chemistry between the two and Jason even publicly admitted he had a crush on her. Kaitlyn soon asked him out and the two have been together ever since.
To come full circle, on Monday May 10th, Jason asked Kaitlyn to marry him during her usual podcast session.
When Kaitlyn joined Dancing with the Stars last season, Jason jokingly said that he will propose if she wins the mirrorball. It was no joke as she actually did end up grabbing that trophy and he kept his end of the deal!
After seeing Kaitlyn’s tumultuous love journey from the start of her Bachelor journey with Chris Soules in 2015 to breaking hearts as the lead Bachelorette while being heavily criticized by the media over the years, we are happy she is finally getting her happily ever after!
