
<p>Rumours were swirling all summer and tonight we might finally get to the bottom of why Clare&#8217;s season went downhill and had to ultimately quit the Bachelorette to be replaced with Tayshia Adams. For those of you who don&#8217;t know, Tayshia was second runner up in Colton&#8217;s season and appeared on Bachelor in Paradise 3 as well but both appearances did not work well with her. Here are 5 facts you may not know about the new Bachelorette:</p>



<p>1. <strong>She was previously married</strong> to Joshua Bourelle in 2016. They were married for only a year before filing for divorce citing &#8220;irreconcilable differences&#8221; in October 2017. She mentioned to Colton that he was her first boyfriend and judging from her dad&#8217;s comments from the hometown date, he seems to very much dislike her ex. </p>

<p><strong>2. She worked as a phlebotomist.</strong> Before her time on the Bachelor, Tayshia was a graduate of Concordia University Irvin studying biology and had a real job working in medicine drawing samples of blood from patients. After the show, she had a change in career telling <em>Vulture </em>in 2019, “I&#8217;m not practicing ;phlebotomy ;anymore. I don&#8217;t know if I&#8217;ll go back into medicine. As much as I love it and went to school for it, my passion has always been in real estate, development, interior design and architecture.&#8221; </p>

<p><strong>3. She hosts a podcast with Hannah Ann Sluss and Joe Amabile called the <em>Click Bait podcast</em>. </strong>Who would&#8217;ve thought to put these three together? But it somehow works! These former contestants followed the footsteps of Bachelor Alums by starting a podcast where they discuss pop culture news. </p>

<p><strong>4. She had to relearn how to walk after being hit by a truck. </strong>On her podcast, Tayshia shared that she had a scary incident in her freshman year. &#8220;As I’m pushing the buttons to get my Skittles, I hear music,&#8221; she said. &#8220;Whenever I hear music I start dancing, and I see it’s my friend’s truck. I went out to go talk to them. I’m hanging on the window talking to them. They take my Skittles. Next thing you know, I’m like, &#8216;I’m gonna go. Have fun at the party,&#8217; so I hop over the window to grab my Skittles back and I’m hanging on the truck.&#8221;</p>

<p><strong>5. She is very close with her family. </strong>Often posting photos with her family members, we can tell the Adams tribe are real tight, especially with her younger brother. We sure hope her new fiancée will fit in! </p>
